The American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics was founded in 1948 as a credentialing organization to promote the welfare of the physically challenged by establishing qualified standards for orthotics and prosthetics practitioners and to advance the highest levels of competency and ethics in the practice of orthotics and prosthetics. ABC is nationally and internationally recognized for its adherence to the highest standards for the orthotics and prosthetics profession.

The standards that this accreditation requires us to uphold help us guarantee our patients the highest quality of care and technology available within the field. To maintain our accreditation, the facility is physically visited and must meet stringent standards. In addition, the practitioners are subject to mandatory continuing education classes to keep their accreditation current.
